Pick-up from airport and we visit Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, Mohammed V place, United Nations place, law court, the prefecture, central post office than departure for Rabat, arrival and historical guided visit: Kingdom Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V the grandfather and father of the present king are buried here, Hassan Mosque, a wonder of the medieval Moorish world with its great minaret left unfinished when its founder died in 1199 the Chellah necropolis, Kasbah Oudaya. We continue to Meknès, the 16th century capital whose ruler, Moulay Ismail, modeled himself on France’s ‘Sun King’, Louis XIV.: historical guided visit of Meknès, and The Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Night in Fes, dinner included.
Today we drive towards the Draa Valley with amazing view of one of the longest rivers in Morocco. We pass few kasbahs and Berber villages. We pass Nkob ,Alnif and Rissani to reach Merzouga desert dunes. 'We stay in Merzouga in local desert hotel with dinner.
After breakfast, departure to the South of Morocco through the Middle Atlas mountains. Brief stop at Ifrane, and continues to Azrou with its cedar forest and monkeys. Lunch break in Midelt before continuing to the South. Upon arrival in Merzouga, enjoy a camel ride and the sunset before arriving to the desert camp with WC and showers. Overnight in a beautiful desert camp.
Today we leave the Merzouga desert to Rissani where w visit the local market place. We continue to Erfoud where we visit the manufactures of fossilized marble. We drive towards Tinjdad palm groves and we reach the Todra Gorges.The course of the river has carved out cliff-sided canyon and it´s because of its beauty. The high rock sides that´s very popular among climbers. You will enjoy a short walk through the gorges - very advisable to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Later in afternoon we continue to explore the Dades valley. Its known as the figs valley going through Boumalne Dades. We stay for dinner and overnight in local riad in Dades Gorges.
On the last day of our Marrakech desert tour we enjoy one of the view of the Dades valley from the strategic lookout in the mountains. From here we can appreciate the great number of kasbahs and the scenic characteristics of each one. We continue by a road dot with many different kasbahs of touristic interest and after some stops we reach the 'One thousand kasbahs road'. We enjoy the view of 'The Rose Valley' and the big 'Skoura palm grove', we`ll get to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, old residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. We may visit the Ouarzazate cinema studios and in the afternoon we drive back to Marrakech through the mountain port of Tizi Ntichka with some stops on the way. Here we leave back the moon landscape to reach another view full of colors. We`ll get to Marrakech in late afternoon and we transfer you to the hotel.
